Philosopher Lane Honey

Honey Farm in Adams Twp, PA

Philosopher Lane™ Honey is an apiary and micro farm based in Mars, PA specializing in organic honey

Our Prairie-Style, or Creamed Honey, is locally famous for its smooth texture and silky taste, perfect for spreading on bread, sweetening beverages, or simply eating by the luscious spoonful. Along with Prairie style, we also offer liquid seasonal and comb honey. Our honey, vegetable and flower gardens are all organic. Specifically, we do not spray or use pesticides!  We love our bees!

Please follow our path to good health by sharing our Bee Wisdom: Bees are people too, and we need to treat them as we ourselves would want to be treated.  We allow the bees to do their work as nature intended, and we specifically do not force our bees into unnatural, stressful commercialized practices. If you've ever purchased flavored honey, such as clover, orange blossom, or knotweed, please know that the only way to guarantee those types of honey is to engage in specific farming practices that are nutritionally harmful to the bees and are likely contributing to their decline. How can you obtain the best honey when the bees themselves are not nourished properly?

"My mom never fed us just apples for an entire month, yet many honey farmers force baby bees to eat this way.  Wildflower honey, sourced from many types of flowers, is natural and best for bees and people alike - and our Prairie-Style Honey is a local, healthy treat!"

By appointment only. To purchase honey, beeswax, or propolis, please call us first for pricing and availability.

See a swarm?  Normally, we don't remove swarms unless you own a bucket truck we can use!  However, if you call us, we're happy to refer someone to you. The removal may or may not be free either; it depends on the situation.

We also sell honey in bulk, if you are looking for local honey to make mead, skin care products, etc.
